That is what De Speelgaard™ is about. We design our products ourselves. Our models are unique so you won't find them anywhere else. Alle De Speelgaard products leave ample room for the rich imagination of children. They are made with craftsmanship, from beautiful materials and hand-finished with an eye for detail.
We use natural, durable materials when possible. We produce our products ourselves. In the design and pre-production phase we take into account efficiency of production. That keeps our prices low.

The materials
The products we sell has been made of natural, durable materials when possible.
Wood
The wood we use comes from privately owned and maintained forrests. Since these forrests are the livelyhood of the owners, they are kept with care.
Finishing
To finish our wooden products we use natural oils and waterbased paints.
The people
Our own factory in Bosnia and Herzegovina employs excellent craftsmen of different beliefs. These people work hard on their future and on re-building the country after the war. We give them a chance to re-build their own lives.
